About the opportunity 
Bowral Hospital is looking to recruit a qualified Library technician with sound professional skills committed to providing and developing excellent Library services. Our preferred candidate should be energetic, flexible, a customer focused and have the ability to work independently.

This permanent part-time role is responsible for Library support to Bowral & District Hospital. The role is varied and interesting with a good deal of autonomy. You will support staff professional development, evidence-based practice and research, and assist in the delivery of safe and high-quality health services. During the current redevelopment phase, you will need to work at both Campbelltown Hospital and Bowral & District Hospital, as part of a small friendly Library team. This position would suit a newly qualified Library Technician, or someone returning to the workforce, as well as someone with experience.

To provide high-quality, client-focused information services, under the leadership of the Library Manager.

Bowral & District Hospital (B&DH) is a major Rural Hospital that provides a wide range of services, including general medical, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric, surgical, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, geriatric and emergency services.

Originally founded in 1889, Bowral & District Hospital has been serving the needs of its local population for over a hundred years. From a humble cottage hospital origin, the hospital has grown to a 94-bed facility offering a range of general and specialised services.

Part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, Bowral has close links with a range of Sydney's teaching and referring hospitals including Liverpool, Fairfield, Bankstown and Campbelltown hospitals.
