Bankstown/Lidcombe is recruiting for a Refrigeration Electrical Tradesperson Level 1 – 4, to complement and enhance the current Engineering Services Department.

What you'll be doing

The role of the Refrigeration Mechanic is to provide a professional and effective service to all internal and external clients of the Health Service. This includes identifying the needs of all stakeholders and where possible adapting services to meet those needs in a safe, collaborative and timely way. Technically, the refrigeration Mechanic is responsible for the installation and maintenance of air-conditioning and refrigeration units throughout the Health Service Campus.

How to Apply

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  • Completion of an Electro-Magnetic apprentice in the Electrical, Mechanical or *Refrigeration Trade. CFC Licence AND/OR Trade Licence and White Card.
  • Experience in the maintenance of large central Air Conditioning systems.
  • Experience with Building Maintenance Systems.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels within SWSLHD when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and independently initiate and prioritise actions to complete complex tasks.
  • Good is written and verbal communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication including the use of compromised systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of aspects of centrifugal chillers, pumps, hot and chilled water reticulation and Air Handling units
