Your role

SMEC is looking for an Undergraduate Civil Engineer with an interest in developing a career within Water Infrastructure. 

Join SMEC as an Undergraduate and you’ll have the chance to work on some of the most complex projects in Australia.

As part of the Undergraduate intake, you will:

  • Assist with design work and documentation under supervision
  • Liaising with supervisors, draftspersons and other specialists on issues relating to the designated tasks and delivery of work on packages and projects
  • Assisting in preparation of specifications, proposals and other documents under supervision
  • Being part of a dynamic, innovative and technically progressive Water Infrastructure team with a fantastic team culture and supportive colleague
  • Partner with supportive colleagues through our buddy system
  • Access a range of industry events and networking opportunities
  • Be part of a large and diverse community of graduates across ANZ

About you

Requirements:

  • In your third or penultimate year of undergraduate study in Civil Engineering at an Australian university
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to effectively manage one's time and workload
  • A developed knowledge of analytical methods, tools, and principles
