Your role

They are seeking a Graduate Surveyor to join their Urban Communities team in Traralgon, and work on a variety of projects across urban development and infrastructure. The successful candidate will benefit from regular training and mentoring by senior employees, as well as peer guidance from the wider SMEC team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertaking fieldwork duties and assisting in the preparation of survey plans and topography surveys
  • Collecting, analysing, and collating survey data
  • Producing calculations and plans
  • Ensuring all surveying tasks are met with appropriate technical standards in line with client requirements and SMEC’s policies and procedures
  • Proactively collaborating with appropriate team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables

About you

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in Surveying or equivalent
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and White Card
  • Exposure to LISCAD and AutoCAD preferred
  • Ability to use basic theoretical knowledge of Surveying principles to analyse and interpret information
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisation and time management skills
