Your role

Due to recent project wins and a confirmed pipeline of work across Queensland, SMEC is looking to recruit a talented Graduate Surveyor (1-2 years experience), to join SMEC's Urban Communities team in Brisbane. Your project portfolio will consist of urban / land development, residential subdivisions, and major infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertaking fieldwork duties and assisting in the preparation of survey plans and topography surveys.
  • Collecting, analysing, and collating survey data. 
  • Producing calculations and plans.
  • Applying project management principles to deliver assigned projects to the required standard in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with data transfer, field survey set-out & data collection, reduction, and processing.
  • Ensuring all surveying tasks are met with appropriate technical standards in line with client requirements and SMEC’s policies and procedures.

About you

Here's what SMEC is looking for in this role:

  • Relevant survey qualifications
  • 1-2 years experience domestic surveying experience
  • Ability to use basic theoretical knowledge of surveying principles to analyse and interpret information
  • Exposure to LISCAD and AutoCAD
  • Current Australian driver’s license
