Your role

SMEC are actively seeking a Melbourne or Geelong-based Environmental Science or Engineering Graduate with an interest in Waste Management and Resource Recovery to join their growing business.

This diverse and interesting role will require a mix of working onsite and in the office.  The role will be responsible for a range of tasks including environmental monitoring, construction quality assurance, report writing, supporting proposal development and input to various waste management and resource recovery projects.  This is a great opportunity to be mentored by industry experts and develop a long-term career with a global company.

About you

SMEC is interested in hearing from recent Graduates with a passion for improving waste management processes. You will have a degree in environmental science and/or engineering and have had some exposure or interest in the waste industry.  

To be considered for this role, you will be/have;

  • Enthusiasm for a career in Waste and Resource Recovery, underpinned by a knowledge and understanding of this sector
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Engineering (minimum credit average)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Well-developed report-writing skills
