Opportunity Expired
SIG Sydney is on the lookout for bright, friendly students who are interested in the world around them, to join our Quantitative Trading Internship starting in December 2021.
SIG is one of the world's largest market makers, with a unique approach to trading, technology, and research. While this background puts us at the top of our game, what really makes us successful is our quantitative approach to decision making and the collaboration between our employees.
SIG Global Quantitative Trading Internship
SIG's Global Quantitative Trading Internship offers you the chance to learn from and collaborate with some of the world's best traders, technologists, and quantitative researchers. Interns start in our Sydney office, spending the first few weeks on a trading desk with experienced traders, before being sent to our HQ in Philadelphia, US (flights and accommodation on us)*. Gaining exposure both on the job and in a classroom setting, you will learn how our traders think about making decisions under uncertainty.

Interview Process
Apply -> Maths Assessment -> Recruiter Interview -> Trader Interviews -> Final On-site Interview -> Job Offer
We hire on a rolling basis and will close applications when we meet our hiring needs. Therefore we encourage early applications.
While we have made many adjustments in response to COVID-19, SIG is still defined by our commitment to collaboration, education, and community. We have every hope and intention to continue sending our trading interns to the US for training, we recognise that it is impossible to guarantee this part of the program during the pandemic. We will only resume international travel when it is safe for our employees to do so. In the event international travel is not possible, our trading interns will receive the same high-quality education that is typical of SIG's Global Quantitative Trading Internship in Sydney rather than the US.
We don't post salary ranges externally so any salary estimate you see listed on a third-party website was not provided by SIG and may not be accurate.
SIG is not accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms. All resumes submitted by search firms to any employee at SIG via-email, the Internet or directly without a valid written search agreement will be deemed the sole property of SIG, and no fee will be paid in the event the candidate is hired by SIG.
