About the role:

SGCH is looking for passionate Tenancy Manager – Reliefs to join our Customers team on a permanent full-time basis. We have two roles available; one in our South-West Sydney region (includes our Bonnyrigg and Hurstville offices) and one in our Metro North East Sydney region (includes our Redfern and St Leonards offices). 

As a Tenancy Manager – Relief, you are fluid in your working style and adapt to changing work environments. You support our customers and fellow Tenancy Managers to cover portfolios during periods of extended leave and during the recruitment and onboarding of new tenancy managers to ensure consistent and high-quality service to our customers.

Tenancy Managers are the main point of contact for our customers, addressing daily tenant matters including property care, tenant arrears/debt and anti-social behaviour, and linking our customers to services to improve their health and well-being and sustain their tenancy.

About you: 

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience working with vulnerable people including people recently experiencing homelessness, including rough sleepers, people managing mental health issues, people experiencing domestic and family violence, people with disability, young people, older people
  • Experience in property management in the real estate industry or in public or community housing sector (minimum two years)
  • Experience at NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT)
  • Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures including Aboriginal people
  • Knowledge and understanding of NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate
  • Self-motivated with a learning mindset, with experience working autonomously
  • Current NSW driving license
