About the role

We are looking for a Community Engagement Assistant to join our Customers team in the South West Sydney region, on a full-time short-term contract to 14 April 2023. This role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with some practical experience in the Community Engagement space, and there is great potential for this contract to be extended or for opportunities in other teams to become available for the right person. 

This role is primarily based in Bonnyrigg but will need you to travel to our other offices in Hurstville and Riverwood to support the running of our activities and events.

As a Community Engagement Assistant, you help deliver our community development and placemaking activities that aim to empower social housing tenants to be more involved in their local community. 

In this role you will connect with our customers to:

  • provide responsive and respectful customer-centric services
  • support community development and placemaking activities designed to meet the needs of social housing community
  • provide administrative support for tenant meetings and placemaking activities, including Minute taking
  • organise and attend tenant community events and activities
  • enhance tenant health and wellbeing through placemaking and partnership practices
  • accurately input and manage tenant information and data in set timeframes.

About you

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • current NSW driving license
  • experience in a busy and demanding administrative environment
  • experience delivering team outcomes
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work independently
  • strong administrative and time management skills.
