Scenic is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, privately owned travel company and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Junior Event Coordinator. In this role you will be supporting the trade team, working closely with our Event Manager & Manager, Trade Partner Sales & Events to support the Scenic Group with event administration in order to meet the business objectives and sales targets.

The Role

We are seeking an entry-level event coordinator to join a specialised global luxury travel company with a portfolio of 5 brands. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Support coordination of Scenic & Emerald Cruises Travel lounge sessions nationally held weekly.
  • Support coordination of supplier travel expos, sales conference and events.
  • Support requests if required for booking staff flights and accommodation coordination with as required for sales and trade team staff interstate, conferences, info sessions.
  • Support office administration and general office duties as required day to day.
  • Accounts payable: invoices, PO and job sheets relating to events.

Performance Expectations

  • Implementation and delivery of all coordinator tasks within agreed timeline.
  • Support and coordination timely reporting.
  • Collaboration via the cross functional teams and programs.
  • Clear and accurate communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work coordination and time management.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in event reporting.
  • Develop professional relationships with sales team and marketing team.
  • Develop professional relationships with external event suppliers .
  • Identify problem areas and seek timely and effective solutions.
  • Use initiative and judgement to ensure all matters are properly handled.
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate reporting of sales/marketing information to all relevant departments and agents.
  • Ensure the sales team are kept up to date with any relevant information from head office relating to events.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • Ensure follow up on all action items is carried out.
  • Assist Manager, Events and Manager, Sales Partnership & Events with event administrative tasks as required.
  • Offer suggestions in improving event management.
