2022 Fitter, Turner and Machinist - TAFE Students Preferred null

As a CNC machinist, you will be responsible for but not limited to below tasks:

• Assessing incoming products and creating initial quality reports
• Layout required work for each roll received and work with the admin team to organise external work required
• Follow customer requirements and set up roll grinding and fluting parameters on the CNC machine
• Quality check of each roll after completion of the job
• Quality report submission with the rolls and pass completed rolls to the warehouse for shipment
• Submit job sheets to the admin team
• Majority of the work will be directly related to the roll fluting and frosting business, and with time we will also provide training to expand your knowledge base for other business areas of Satake. You will work closely with our flour milling team in Australia and UK for continuous professional development and training in this domain.

Knowledge / Abilities and Skills required:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) is essential for this role.
• Positive and can-do attitude with a proactive approach.
• Good written and oral English communication skills.
• Highly developed and technical CNC machine operation skills and knowledge of other grinding systems.
• Self-driven and confident to work autonomously and independently without supervision.
• Strong attention to detail is key for success in this role.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work with overseas non-native English-speaking suppliers and support teams.
• Ability to read and follow detailed mechanical drawings and follow set procedures.
• Ability to use tools of the trade and specialty tools
• Ability to work safely and follow our OH&S rules.

To be successful in this rewarding role, in addition to above-mentioned abilities, you must have:

• Full Australian Driver's Licence
• An Australian Passport.
