About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate/Intermediate Accountant to help support our Director/Senior Accountant. The role is flexible on working hours, with a minimum of 3 days per week and full-time hours available to the right candidate. Competitive renumeration package plus super will be based on your academic achievements, skills and experience.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Supporting senior accountant to complete set work.
- Preparation of tax returns, BAS/ PAYG and financial reports in a timely manner for all entity types.
- Preparation of various other financial information as required by clients (such as STP processing and finalisation, TPAR lodgement, budgets, and tax planning).
- Regularly reviewing workflow system and making updates and improvements where necessary.
- Weekly Reconciliation client records through MYOB.
- Liaise with the ATO and other government bodies regarding client financial matters.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or near completed).
- Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels- written, phone and face-to-face.
- Experience in accounting software preferred (Xero, MYOB, Recon, QuickBooks, BGL Simplefund360 and CAS360)
- Experience in Microsoft Office products.
- Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
- Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within the time frame given and carry out administrative duties within the portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
