Maintenance Fitter Apprentice - TAFE Students Preferred null

Position Description

This is an exciting opportunity for passionate & experienced Maintenance fitters to work closely with their industry specialists and energetic Maintenance Managers and teams.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assist stakeholders with new plant design including analysis of drawings, potential plant improvements, and planned maintenance improvements.
• Supporting the drive for continuous safety improvements.
• Conduct regular reviews of all plant equipment and act on any needed maintenance.
• Always leading by example for promoting safety and safe work practices.
• Ensuring all assigned planned work is completed efficiently and effectively.
• Displaying highly organized and efficient planning skills.
• Supporting a highly functioning team by promoting a hands-on, people-focused, and inclusive approach to workplace culture and collaborative work styles.
• Actively training and mentoring training apprentices.
• Ensuring all material handling equipment, large screening and hammer mill, and gearbox repairs and maintenance are conducted regularly.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Fitter - Trade Certificate
• Minimum 3 years’ Fitter experience
• Forklift Licence
• Riggers & Confined Space High-Risk Tickets (desirable but not essential)
• Scissor Lift experience
• Welding experience (is desirable but not essential)
