Your purpose and opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role is an opportunity to join the Reach Robotics team during its high-growth phase.
You will be a pivotal member of the Production team helping to build, calibrate, test and maintain our high-end production line.
No day is the same in Reach Robotics production team, our products consist of complex electro-mechanical assemblies. You will be working alongside highly specialised engineers and technicians. Supervised training will be provided for the first 3 months of tenure following this you are encouraged to continue to learn and ask questions about our product line and how each feature of the design functions.
Initial Responsibilities:
- Hands-on assembly of electro-mechanical assemblies according to work instructions;
- Quality inspection and measurement of parts against drawings;
- Soldering and cable assembly;
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding of sub-assemblies and products;
- Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work environment;
- Suggesting new ideas to make the production line more efficient;
- Problem-solving issues that arise on the production line;
- Ensure project timeline is met;
- Perform detailed documentation and instructions to track processes in production;
- Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of products;
Essential Criteria:
- Attention to detail is a must;
- Intuitive mechanical assembly skills;
- Genuine interest in robotic technology;
- Creatively minded, ability to adapt existing solutions to new situations;
- Ability to use measuring tools and understand mechanical drawings;
- Team Player – with the ability to interact at all levels;
- Great Organisational skills;
- Previous experience in a similar position.
Desirable:
- Relevant engineering/trade qualifications in production, mechanics, electronics or any other field related;
- Experience working with Lean/continuous improvement principles is desirable but not essential.
