About the role:
At Rawson Group, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated, and results-driven health & safety professional. The purpose of this role is to provide timely and effective best practice WHS support and advice to stakeholders across Rawson Group Construction, Communities, and Projects.
The role will be suitable for a dynamic individual who demonstrates strong communication skills, and who can support and drive the HSE culture on site while providing support and coordination of safety and environmental practices, systems, and procedures on the project.
As Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will be accountable for:
• Develop, maintain, and improve the HSE Management Plans and associated sub-plans across the business.
• Develop audit schedules in collaboration with the Quality Lead, oversee the undertaking of HSE audits, and support in developing and closing out any actions arising.
• Prep Dand eliver H&S induction to contractors.
• The ability to maintain and promote a safety conscience culture,
• The ability to oversee multiple projects and maintain strong site reporting systems through effective consultation with site staff,
• Evaluating practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Partner and mentor, the construction/communities/project teams on health and safety requirements and compliance with RG HSMS
• Participating in the Safety in Design (SiD) workshop.
• Maintain a professional network with key partnerships.

Skills & Experience Required:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction sector.
• Construction Induction Card.
• Exposure to managing contractors/suppliers.
• Appropriate high-risk work (HRW) license [as needed]
• Tertiary qualifications in work, health, and safety (Preferably Certified Practitioner (AIHS).
• Comprehensive understanding of WHS legislation, regulations, and other relevant requirements (essential)
• Ability to develop solutions to complex and challenging health and safety issues
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication, including the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
Prior work experience in residential Construction industry
