What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
As a second-year nurse I feel underpaid.

I think the pay is good especially since the rise, however nursing pay in general (in my opinion) should be higher.
Graduate, Gold Coast - 31 Oct 2023
I assumed having previous nursing experience it would be more than it is but that will change over time I'm sure
Graduate, Melbourne - 31 Oct 2023
It works for me.
Graduate, Sydney - 31 Oct 2023
I believe we should be paid the same as public. We are understaffed and do more work for less pay.
Graduate, Brisbane - 31 Oct 2023
Almost quarter pay goes into taxes.
Graduate, Perth - 31 Oct 2023

Graduate, Brisbane - 31 Oct 2023
As an NDIS support worker, I think they need to improve how to manage their NDIS workers, as it is hard to look aftr 9 pts plus an NDIS participant which requires max assistance.
Level 2/ Yr2, Sydney - 31 Oct 2023
I think its embarrassing how little we are rewarded.
CNE, Sydney - 31 Oct 2023
No bonuses available. Pay structure is not equivalent Australia wide. Overtime and penalty pay is often not paid effectively, requiring staff followup.
Graduate, Warners Bay - 31 Oct 2023
At the time I was hired, I was quite happy with my pay. However, with the current cost of living crisis and with most graduate scheme paying significantly more than we are currently earning, I think future graduates should receive pay rises in line with the current news and trends.
Graduate, Sydney - 31 Oct 2023
Needs to be much higher
Graduate, Brisbane - 31 Oct 2023
The situation with our EBA are still ongoing.
Graduate, Perth - 31 Oct 2023
Pay is good - grateful for the new pay increase. Now just need patient ratios sorted so I don't have to nearly kill myself with stress and over work every shift.
Graduate, Brisbane - 31 Oct 2023
Pay is low, no salary packaging or any bonuses at all
Graduate, Melbourne - 31 Oct 2023
It is a shame that nurses in the private sector are paid less than at the public hospitals even though our ratios are higher.

We get given a morning tea for a thank you for doing well in our audits. That is the only thanks other than 1 cheesecake on international nurses day for the entire ward. The hospital has tried to boost morale with a clown doing balloon animals going around to wards however this did not go over well as all wards were severely understaffed and struggling so it felt like a massive insult
