RACV is the best company I have ever worked for in terms of its training & preparing you to take on additional responsibilities

The training & help preparing for roles/deliverables is the best that I have worked with.

There are a lot of opportunities to learn and both of these training styles incorporate that

There is some formal compliance training to complete when you first start at the company, but most of the other training was on-the-job, and how much I learned varied between teams and managers. The key skills I have learned in my role have been learning the Tableau platform, how to use SQL and other broader skills like learning how to structure a business case and manage stakeholders.

I've picked up heaps of skills in the last 9 months of being in the Technology Grad Program. Skills in the field of Cyber Security, FE and BE Development, DevOps, and much more. I was also enrolled in the ITIL Service Management course and received the qualification. I also developed and will keep developing my interpersonal and soft skills, such as communication and presentation skills.

Fantastic on the job training. More attention and benefits to formal training (professional accreditations, tertiary education) would be preferred.

There are lots of learning and development opportunities. For the graduates there is a graduate learning series which covers different topics such as personal branding, presentation skills, becoming a team player and several others. The organisation also has Masterclasses regularly which anyone can attend, and they are a great opportunity to learn about the business. I have found that the training in my various roles is very informal and you learn on the job.

Employees develop skills not only through their team but through interactive workshops with colleagues from different corners of the business. These sessions developed business and professional skills.

Specific development program sessions for grads. Different teams also have formal training programs depending on the line of work, but most of the training is informal guidance by colleagues

There are learning modules to do at the start of employment which rounds out your knowledge of the company, guidelines, practices and safety. As a grad in technology I was offered the opportunity to do a course/exam for ITIL4 Fundamentals.

I've learnt how to use certain platforms through on-the-job training and sessions with my team, who are very supportive and always willing to answer any questions I might have. Our department has also attended external accessibility workshops, which was really helpful in ensuring that any work we put out enhances the experience of as many customers as possible. As a grad, we also have dedicated sessions where we learn soft skills - from how to communicate and present with impact to learning to have a growth mindset. These sessions are a great opportunity to get together as a grad cohort, and the skills we learn are extremely useful, and can be applied to not only our work, but beyond as well.
