Before we dive into all the fun responsibilities, let’s talk about Queer Screen. Formed in 1993, Queer Screen has been a successful NFP organisation celebrating the diversity of sexualities and gender identities through queer storytelling on screen, by inclusive and respectful communities filled with creativity, inspiration and pride. Our team at Queer Screen has proudly produced and curated the Mardi Gras Film Festival for almost 30 years. Our 30th year is planned to be our biggest year yet, with World Pride joining the 2023 Sydney Mardi Gras and borders reopened!
Hence, we are looking for passionate marketing volunteers and interns to join our small and vibrant marketing team for the fun as we celebrate and promote our 30th Mardi Gras Film Festival, working together to make 2023 our biggest film festival yet!
The successful applicants will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with the Festival Director, Digital Marketing and Content Coordinator, Queer Screen staff, and other volunteers. The role may include some of the following tasks and will be flexible depending on the applicant's skills, experience, and interests:

The position requires a commitment of 8-20 hours per week across a hybrid working environment and is flexible to work within the successful applicant's current work/study schedule from 9 December 2022 - 31 March 2023.
The majority of the tasks will be completed between Monday - Friday, 10 - 6 pm, but there will be the expectation to work outside of these hours in the lead-up to and during the festival (February 15th - March 2nd).
We are happy to accommodate university internships and work with applicants who want to work with Queer Screen as part of the university summer work experience.
