Quay Appointments has been selected to partner with the NSW Electoral Commission to help deliver the results of the 2024 NSW Local Government elections.  

This is Quay’s 15th election, and we are recruiting our largest team ever. The 2024 Local Government elections will be one of the largest community events held in New South Wales this year. You will be a valued member of Quay’s Election Project Team, responsible for the timely delivery of the computerised count for the September 2024 elections. 

We want you. Our application process is quick and easy, your interview will be conducted virtually, and our friendly team of professional recruiters will be here to assist and support you through the recruitment and selection process.  

Your Role: 

  • Working in a high-profile environment with critical deadlines you will: 
  • Accurately data enter preferences from ballot papers into the NSW Electoral Commission’s computerised count software 
  • Reconcile entered material against paper records 
  • Review declaration forms to determine whether they are complete and valid 

You will be required: 

  • You will work as part of a team to ensure critical counting deadlines are achieved. Our team will require: 
  • A minimum Data Entry speed of 7,000ksph, with high levels of accuracy 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Flexibility to work in an ever-changing work environment 
  • A strong team spirit 
  • Availability to work Monday to Saturday 
  • An Australian Citizen who is enrolled to vote 
  • Political Neutrality(*)
