This is Quay’s 14th Election, and we are recruiting our largest team ever. Likely to be one of the biggest events of its kind, you will be a valued member of Quay’s Election Project Team, responsible for the timely delivery of the computerised count for the March 2023 State Elections.

We want you! Our online application process is quick and easy, your interview will be conducted virtually, and our team of friendly and professional recruiters will be here to assist and support you through the recruitment and selection process.

Students have been some our strongest team members. It’s a great opportunity to earn some good money whilst gaining valuable work experience. With 1400 jobs to fill, you will be spoilt for choice - Data Entry, Sorting, Matching, Quality Checking, Batching, Extracting, Running or Gate Keeping. Training will be provided in all jobs, you will be supported by experienced team leaders and have the flexibility to work afternoons or mornings to fit in with your studies or holiday break.

Your Role:

Working in a high-profile environment with critical deadlines you will:

  • Accurately count of ballot papers
  • Lifting of ballot paper cartons
  • Accurately check count ballot papers
  • Accurately sort ballot papers
  • Batching of ballot papers ready for data entry
  • Open, sort and bundling dec votes, loading into trays and trolleys
  • Data entry into computerised count software
  • Scrutiny of Dec Votes

You will require:

As part of a team, you will work together to ensure the Declaration Count Centre achieves critical deadlines. Our team will require:

  • Attention to detail
  • Maintain accuracy through a repetitive process
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Flexibility to work in an ever-changing work environment
  • A strong team spirit
  • Availability to work Monday to Saturday
  • Australian Citizens who are registered on the Electoral Roll
