He ended up studying nursing and found a job as a nurse, visiting patients who were receiving care and nursing services in their own homes. After experiencing what it was like to work in a nursing home during his studies, Nick was amazed by how much more he could connect with his patients who received home care and better meet their individual needs. Nick witnessed firsthand the “difference you can make with people who are trying to remain independent in their own home … the memories that are actually anchored to the bricks and mortar”.
