      ABOUT THE ROLE

      Due to increasing demand for our in-home care services, we are seeking experienced Personal Care Attendants to provide clients with 1:1 support in their own homes. We have of a variety of shifts which include working across the Monday to Sunday week - AM shifts starting from 7 am, right through to the afternoon, evening and overnight care. The minimum shift with one client is 1 hour right through to 24/7 care. New exciting opportunities with shifts across North Sydney, Northern Beaches and Eastern Sydney suburbs.

      Daily tasks will include:

      • Personal care: showering/bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene & medication prompt.
      • Domestic assistance: meal preparation, shopping assistance, cleaning, laundry & paying bills.
      • Companionship: escorting for special events, lunches & morning/afternoon tea.
      • Transport shifts: transporting clients to appointments etc and running local errands.

      WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

      As an empathetic individual who takes pride in delivering high quality care, you must be an engaging communicator who enjoys building relationships with both clients and families. After having met you, people remember the way you made them feel because of a natural warmth you demonstrate, and the fact that you are a good listener. With strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, you will be excellent at multi-tasking and prioritising to ensure things get done.

      You must have either or a combination of:

      1) Previous work experience in aged care, disability, home and community care or nursing.
      2) Minimum Cert III in Aged Care/Disability/Individual Support OR completed 120 hours of placement.
      3) At least 6 months lived experience in looking after loves ones living with disabilities.

      You will also have the following:

      • Minimum availability of 15 hours per week. This is a must!
      • Valid driver's licence and a reliable roadworthy vehicle (+ comprehensive car insurance if willing to do transport shifts)
      • Willingness to travel in and around your home for shifts ranging from 1hr through to 24/7 care
      • Strong understanding of Community Care/Home Based Services
      • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and CPR qualification
      • NDIS Worker Screening Check or the willingness to obtain prior to commencement
      • Proven track record in being reliable, punctual and trustworthy
      • Excellent decision-making skills to provide high-quality 1:1 support in home settings
