This role is a combination of field- and office-based work. The office location is Cicada Innovations in Eveleigh, Sydney, just next to Redfern station.

Presien builds AI vision systems for heavy industries - construction, mining, logistics and warehousing, manufacturing, etc. The first product, Blindsight, is a safety device to prevent accidents and automate reporting.

About you

• Trade-qualified automotive electrician or fitter
• Willing to travel to work sites based on client and business needs
• Possesses outstanding critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve
• Possesses technical competence and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow job specifications, wiring diagrams, and service manuals, and install electrical systems
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities to repair electrical malfunctions such as wiring faults and component failures
• Exceptional communication skills, highly organized, collaborative and detail-oriented
• Driven, self-motivated, independent, enthusiastic, and proactive

The day-to-day

• Installation and documentation of AI systems on heavy vehicles found in the mining and construction sectors
• Ongoing service and maintenance of all fit-outs
• Train 3rd party installers
• Manage field trials and demonstrations
• Facilitate on-site training and presentations for health and safety, upper management, operators, and other stakeholders
• Creation and management of documentation for installations, including training material, wiring diagrams, and case studies
• Liaise closely with engineering and product teams to identify and carry out potential design improvements
• Support third-party installers and distributors
• Help test and debug both mechanical and electrical issues related to the system
• Work in multidisciplinary project-based teams to explore new opportunities
• Facilitate collection of real-world data for in-house AI team
