About the role

People are the heart of everything we do. As our Home Care Employee, you will enhance the well-being of our consumers by supporting them with a range of daily living activities. When providing direct support and personal care, you take pride in delivering an exceptional service, with a focus on a person-centred approach. This role will also engage your social side as you will be happy to accompany and transport our consumers to appointments and social activities.

About You
You are compassionate and want to make a difference to the lives of others. Applying your skills from your Certificate III in Aged Care, you are comfortable with domestic duties, and providing personal care when needed. Your ability to articulate clearly and confidently makes communication your strength. Enthusiastic, resilient and caring, you are able to start immediately and have an unrestricted driver's licence (minimum green P plates), and access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

What's involved in the role?

Community Aged Care Support Workers deliver a range of At Home Aged Care services and mostly work independently in client homes, but with direct support from their Care Manager. Duties include:

  • Personal care – showering, toileting and grooming both male and female clients
  • Domestic Assistance - light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and serving
  • Medication prompting and assistance
  • Transport – appointments, shopping and leisure outings
  • •Respite – being with clients to give Carers a break
  • Social support – assisting clients to access their community
