We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused, team player to fill the position of Apprentice Chef (1st or 2nd Year) at Drift Café Restaurant. 

The purpose of the role is to support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. This involves working alongside qualified chefs, assisting in all aspects of food preparation, production & kitchen hygiene while training to become a qualified chef.  

This position is Full Time and includes a provision for study. The successful applicant must be willing to work weekends and shift work (including mornings and late nights) as required.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Studying towards obtaining Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 (Desirable)
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
