Mental Health Support Worker - TAFE Students Preferred null

Who are we? 

Porchlight is a boutique NDIS support provider with a unique person-centred approach. Our goal is to meet the client where they are and spend the necessary time to understand them and their goals. Porchlight specialises in building consistent support relationships with clients that have a lived-experience of mental health conditions, and a broad spectrum of needs.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Directly support the client with daily living and routine
• Facilitate client-led progress on goals (eg social, financial, health)
• Encourage engagement in the community through capacity building and outings
• Display open and timely communication with clients and other team members.
• Solve problems that the client finds difficult to handle on their own (e.g. setting up a new phone, booking a class, organizing an appointment, exercising)
• Demonstrate non-judgemental person-centred care and professionalism

Key Benefits:

• Generous casual rate $40+ per/hour and additional travel allowances.
• Rostering that can fit around other commitments (e.g. Uni, Tafe)

Requirements:

• Valid Australian driver’s license and car
• Available to work a minimum of 2 weekdays availability
• Cert IV mental health or equivalent experience (preferred)
• First aid training (preferred)
