About the Role

We are looking for an experienced retail lender for a full time Lending Specialist /Member Service Officer role within our Narellan team.

The Member Service Officer is a branch-based home loan specialist who is also responsible for meeting all member needs, providing all appropriate retail banking products and services.

Whilst the role includes assisting members directly with all general banking enquiries and personal lending, the primary focus of the role is to assist new and existing customers with home loan related needs.

Day to day responsibilities may include:

  • Having detailed needs-based conversations with customers to identify and provide solutions for financial needs required to achieve personal goals.
  • Handling and responding to member enquiries both face to face and over the phone or web platforms.
  • Deliver against key performance indicators including performance against home lending targets.
  • Greet and Welcome customers who attend the Branch.
  • Pro-active contact to members either face to face, by phone or through web platforms including occasional business development activity.
  • Able to have an in-depth needs-based conversations with a customer to accurately identify the suitability of products and services.
  • Analyse supporting documents and complete credit applications to credit with the aim to drive positive outcomes for customers.
  • Processing of lending applications and relevant administration.
  • Servicing members requiring telling transactions including cheques or electronic transfers.
  • Undertake other duties as required by your manager or their delegate
  • Adhere to all WHS requirements of the organisation and relevant associated legislation

About You

To be considered for the role:

  • Minimum 3 years home lending experience or in a similar role in banking and/or wealth.
  • High-level understanding of Consumer Lending and Credit.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain client and team relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting targets and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Demonstrated willingness to embrace organisational change including the use of modern technology and an ability to analyse and problem-solve in the context of change and continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • Degree in business or similar or relevant work experience
  • Tier 2 qualified
