Your role

PHE is a growing Industrial Electrical Contracting company with projects and branch locations in NSW, QLD, SA and WA that offers employees a safe, efficient and rewarding work environment that promotes personal and professional growth.

This is a full-time Graduate Accountant role where you will need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly general journal postings: depreciation, accruals, prepayments
  • Post inter-company debtor/creditor settlements and loan reconciliations
  • Reconcile plant and equipment leases
  • Maintaining Trust ledgers, bank reconciliations and trial balances (excel and Xero)
  • Assisting Group Accountant with monthly reporting and year-end processes
  • Reconcile Wages and superannuation
  • Assist with Adhoc projects
  • Liaise with the Administration team across the business

About you

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Good understanding of Excel & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Xero and MYOB EXO is preferred, but not essential
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Be able to pass a National Police Check
