Orchard Early Learning Centre St Ives has an amazing outdoor play area, the bright and airy rooms flow directly onto the outdoor learning environments, immersing children in our Paddock to Plate philosophy. 

The service operates from 6.30 am - 6.30 pm and is located on Mona Vale Road opposite Bridgedine College, close to public transport and local street parking available

Orchard educators are adaptable, and responsive and have children’s best interests at the heart of all their decisions.

As an educator, you will provide high-quality and meaningful interactions and learning programmes. You will, together with the room leader be responsible for the routine, and programming for all children, develop and lead child-led learning responsive to children’s ideas, strengths and abilities that inspire independent learners. 

About You

  • ACECQA-approved qualification (Certificate III, Diploma or working towards)
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR (and preferable Anaphylaxis Management, Emergency Asthma Management Training)
  • Child protection (CHCPRT001) and Working with Children Check
  • Clear and articulated experience working with children
  • Passion for fostering respectful relationships with a calm and respectful demeanour
  • Experience in guiding children’s behaviours
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including documentation skills
  • Knowledge of EYLF and NQS
  • Commitment to early years learning and best practice
  • Experience in working in large centres is highly regarded
