The Patient Services and Information Unit is seeking a self-motivated individual with frontline clerical and administrative experience, whilst having a focus on customer service.
A Ward Administration Officer is needed for a busy front desk working alongside our team of doctors, nurses and administration staff in a friendly and supportive environment. The position requires attention to detail and excellent customer service skills to patients, their families, staff and others. A flexible attitude to work, a great disposition and an ability to cope with change are required.

What you'll be doing:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the prioritising and planning of the workload and would be expected to have excellent customer service skills, general office skills including good keyboard and communication skills. Essentially the position will receive daily work requests from the Nursing Unit Manager and will provide support to the team. The position has a professional and performance link to the Patient Services and Information Unit for specific clerical matters, training and development. The incumbent is responsible for carrying out clerical/administrative processes for the assigned ward. This includes providing an information service to patients and the general public on matters relating to patient movement and admissions.
All NSW Health workers are required to have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 30 September 2021 and two doses by 30 November 2021 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
