Job Description

This entry-level/graduate role is part of our Data Specialist team. The team’s goal is to support and advise our Salespeople on how they can use data and insights to maximize advertising sales across our digital assets - including nine.com.au, 9Now, 9Honey, and Pedestrian.TV, and subscription video platform Stan.

The experienced team will mentor and train you to become a ‘Data Expert’. You will learn how data can be used to better reach our audiences across Nine’s digital network. You will develop critical skills to effectively translate and communicate the complex world of data in a way that is meaningful and useful to our Salespeople. You will find great satisfaction in seeing them optimize their sales results by following your advice. 

This role is your ticket to the digital data world and places you at the forefront of working with the world’s leading data technology platforms – Adobe and Salesforce. Day to day you will:

  • Manage the building of our audience segments across our Digital network
  • Be trained in Nine’s Adobe Audience Manager and Experience Platform to build our custom audiences 
  • Work on projects with the wider team to onboard and update Nine data across ad servers and SSPs
  • Leverage and develop a deep understanding of the Nine’s Data Products across Insights, Activation, and Measurement to become a subject matter expert for our wider sales team
  • Develop your presentation skills on our Data GTM through in-person and online training
  • Develop your ability to present insights across the sales team and agency partners
  • Assist the team in ad-hoc projects to onboard new data partnerships
  • Develop meaningful relationships via face to face and online across the wider Nine business to champion our Data Products offering
  • Work alongside some of Australia’s most experienced and innovative Digital Data Professionals to develop your career to the next level

To be successful in this role, you will ideally:

  • Be a recent university graduate with a marketing or commerce degree
  • Be a confident self-starter who can work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Have a passion for learning and take ownership of your development
  • Have an interest in both the data/digital and media industries
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Be capable of developing solid relationships with others, built on trust and credibility 
  • Have exceptional communication and presentation skills
