Part-Time or Full-Time Roll (will accommodate part-time role for the right person).
This position would suit a person interested in:
- a career in bookkeeping/accounting,
- a school leaver currently studying or interested in studying towards bookkeeping/accounting qualifications
- or Accounts Officer with 1 -2 years of experience
The Role
Working as part of our accounting team, you will be introduced to various accounting systems, accounting principles and practices including bookkeeping, financial statements and preparing tax returns.
Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Numerical data entry using Excel and Xero
- Reconciling entries in Xero
- Bookkeeping tasks in Xero
- Creating spreadsheets using Excel
- General office duties
- Provide support to our staff as required
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal to liaise with internal and external personnel
- Quick learner, organised, efficient and motivated
- Ability to follow directives, manage and prioritise a diverse range of tasks
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Well presented, punctual and a strong work ethic
- Basic bookkeeping skills not necessary but are desirable.
- Knowledge and/or experience of financial accounting software (example: Xero) is desirable but not necessary
- This role is an onsite position at our Caringbah office, there will be no hybrid/working from home.
- Highly desirable to be undertaking or enrolled in an accounting course with TAFE or a University.
