About the Role:

The ideal candidate will help the client follow his morning and evening routines, provide prompts for cooking meals, and support him with personal care and household tasks. You will also accompany the client on walks and work collaboratively with allied health professionals to support the client's goals in West Ryde.

Health allied students and graduates who are willing to learn are welcome to embark in this experience.

Shift Times: 

• Morning shifts: 8:00am to 11:00am (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
• Evenings: 5:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the client with following his morning and evening routines
• Provide prompts for cooking meals and completing personal care and household tasks
• Accompany the client on walks to encourage physical activity
• Collaborate with allied health professionals such as dietitians and occupational therapists to support the client in achieving his goals

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a support worker or similar role
• Experience in providing activities of daily living support
• Ability to follow routines and provide gentle prompts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual

Essential Licenses:

• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• NDIS Orientation Module - Quality Safety and you
• First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Certificate lll in disability or related industries
