Our Newcrest Purpose: We proudly produce for a better future...for everyone.

The Australian Association of Graduate Employers has ranked Newcrest Mining in the Top 75 Graduate Employers for 2023 as voted by graduates.

What We Offer

Get ready to level up your mining game with our 2-year grad program. You’ll get experiences you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll be rotating between our Telfer site in WA on a FIFO schedule and our Cadia site in Orange, NSW.

These rotations will set your mining career up for success as you will be exposed to vastly different mining methods and deposit styles. And as we also have mine sites in PNG and Canada, the international opportunities are very real beyond your graduate program.

We're all about your growth. As part of the program, you'll also get to spend a week in Melbourne meeting all our other Australian graduates, exploring the city, building relationships, and working on your development goals and leadership skills.

Your Geotechnical Graduate program will include Computer modelling, Predictive and Photographic, conduct survey work to analyse the likely behaviour of soil and rock, Monitor, collect data on, and oversee new and existing underground and open pit operations. rock mass modelling and much more.

Our Graduate Program will commence in January 2024.

Newcrest graduates are resourceful, resilient, flexible, open to learning and share our values and commitment to safety.

The Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process is simple, modern and empowering. Start by applying online and then show us your skills in a video interview. If you're successful, you'll move on to a virtual interview via MS Teams, and then just complete your medical and police checks.

Remember, you must have unrestricted working rights in Australia to be considered and unfortunately, sponsorship is not available.  We also cannot accept those on Working Holiday Visas.
