About the role

We are seeking dynamic and motivated Customer Service Officers in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions to join our team in a Greater Bank or Newcastle Permanent branch. These opportunities will commence with inductions in August, September, October and November and consist of full-time and part-time positions. 

Our Customer Service Officers are highly respected and valued. Their commitment and passion has made a huge contribution to the success of both Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent. We are seeking individuals who share the same passion and will be just as committed to delivering the outstanding customer service for our customers. 

What will your key responsibilities include? 

  • Act as first point of contact, positively interacting with customers and building strong personal relationships.
  • Identifying customer needs and offering appropriate solutions with our comprehensive range of products and services.
  • Strive towards achieving personal targets.
  • Work collaboratively to contribute to team and corporate performance expectations. 

What are we looking for?

  • Previous retail customer service experience, ideally from banking, retail or hospitality industries.  
  • Cash handling experience with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Friendly and engaging approach with customers to be able to quickly identify customer needs and promote appropriate products and services.
  • Proficient computer skills, and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Positive attitude, with the ability to respond well within fast paced environment.
  • Being able to adapt, with a willingness to embrace ever present change.
  • Ability to work in a small team, while always encouraging those around you.
