Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver, and assess a comprehensive range of coffee training programs tailored to a diverse audience, including individuals with disabilities, home brewing enthusiasts, and professionals in the commercial coffee scene.
  • Ensure training programs are engaging, effective, and up-to-date with current industry standards, including the 'Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee' program.
  • Provide one-on-one and group training sessions, adapting teaching methods to suit various learning styles and needs.
  • Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to help learners achieve their coffee-making goals.
  • Stay up to date of the latest coffee trends, techniques, and industry standards to incorporate into training materials.
  • Collaborate with Newcastle Coffee Enterprises team members to enhance the training experience and contribute to the development of the coffee community.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong foundation in coffee training and assessment.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for coffee, from bean selection and roasting to espresso preparation and serving techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners of all backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse groups, including those with disabilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment and fostering a supportive coffee community.
