MRAEL in partnership with SWB is seeking a committed and enthusiastic applicant, with a genuine interest in starting a long term trade carer within the Mechanical Industry.

As an SWB Apprentice, you will be appointed an MRAEL Field Officer who will assist in guiding you through your trade, making sure every aspect of your training experience is rewarding and professional. The Field Officer provides you with consistent mentoring, support and performance management throughout your apprenticeship while ensuring you progress through your training, and will coordinate off the job training. The Field Officer will have regular meetings to discuss your progression and any challenges you may have along the way. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Overhauling gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, driveshafts
  • Installing bearings on site
  • Dismantling, cleaning, assessing and measuring parts 
  • Assisting with small machining jobs 
  • Cleaning of the workshop 
  • Workshop deliveries (local area) 
  • Assisting with maintaining workshop equipment

Smithfield  

Work Type:

Full-Time Apprenticeship (Monday - Friday)

Requirements:

  • Must be an Australian citizen/resident
  • The sound level of computer literacy
  • A positive quick learning attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Positive attitude
  • Responsible and mature minded
  • Drivers licence
