Environmental Auditor - TAFE Students Preferred null

The position:

We are looking for Environmental/Waste Auditors (casual). Candidates should have a genuine interest in the waste and recycling industry in Australia. The position includes collection and sorting of waste samples and data entry. Waste samples may be collected from kerbside or from an industrial site. Waste streams include general waste (red lid), co-mingled (yellow lid), garden & food organics (green lid), industrial skip bins or specific waste stream bins (e.g. paper/cardboard).

Mandatory requirement vaccination for Hepatitis A + B and Tetanus and 2x Covid-19 vaccination. You will have to provide immunisation records prior to commencing work. Immunisation costs are reimbursable (conditions apply).

Key capacities and skills:

• Right to work in Australia with no restrictions and valid for the duration of the project
• Immunisation record for Hepatitis A + B and Tetanus,1x Covid-19 jab (mandatory)
• WHS & OHS awareness
• High tolerance for handling contaminated materials and strong odours
• Reliable transport to and from site
• Appropriate PPE, including steel-capped boots and appropriate work clothes
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to work autonomously
• Immediate availability to complete project and WHS training 

Desirable:

• Hold a valid Drivers’ licence (Class C)
• Reliable transport to and from site
