The Technical Design Specialist role is responsible for creating and communicating appealing design concepts that meet our internal/external customer's needs. The role will work closely with our Manufacturing and Sales teams and the A & D Community to assess design, quality, colour trends and translate into customer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of a customer design project in relationship to specific customer requests
- Maintain and build working relationship with A & D and End User clients
- Manage all aspects of a customer design project in relationship to specific customer request
- Ability to see the project scope by assessing, prioritising, navigating and quickly adapting to complex situation in key projects.
- Strong listening and communication skills used to identify customer needs with concept space planning
- Multi-tasking several custom design projects and organisation of each with ability to balance and move projects quickly and efficiently forward
- Setting work target objectives, manage project timelines in relations to scope of project.
- Effective full and final design data accurately within estimated time to ensure order and meet customer deadline
- Ensure design solutions fit manufacturing criteria for quality installations
- Provision of input to strategic and design discussions
- Excellent computer skills specifically, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator as a minimum), MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook Proficient in PC Sketch and New Graphics
