Training & development

McDonald’s makes a significant investment in training and development initiatives each year. As a Registered Training Organisation, they offer nationally recognised and award-winning qualifications in retail and food service. Internally, they offer a range of scholarships and training programs to help their people build their professional skills and future career opportunities.

Career progression

The company encourages participation in leadership development programs to shape career paths for corporate staff. These programs start with foundational topics like inclusive leadership, delivered through workshops. Participants can then progress to more specific areas like "Leading as a Strategic Partner" and "Inspire." These in-person workshops with on-the-job application aim to develop new and existing people leaders. High-potential individuals in Director or Senior Director roles can then progress to the next level program, "Elevate," a nine-month program designed specifically for them.
