About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated Human Resources Graduate to join our Geelong based team, on a full-time basis.  

As a member of the People & Culture team, you will assist the HR Business Partners in divisional development, contributing to general human resource needs. You will be supporting people policies, procedures and disciplines to improve business efficiencies and maintain compliance. 

This role will entail but is not limited to:

  • Assisting with talent recruitment needs including drafting job ads, advertising on various platforms, shortlisting applications, interview coordination, background and reference checks;
  • Acting as the first point of contact for new starters by coordinating pre-employment documentation and requirements;
  • Harnessing social media platforms to promote our brand, facilitate competitions and boost employee engagement;
  • Prepare correspondence for employees including depot announcements, remuneration letters, written warnings, and employment contracts;
  • Assist in the resolution of complex employee relations issues;
  • Supporting workforce retention by working closely with management and employees;

About you

You will be a driven, practical individual who is passionate about people. You will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, underpinned by your ability to build trust and influence across a diverse range of stakeholders. Your strong work ethic and operational focus will allow you to maintain confidentiality within the business. 

To be successful in this dynamic role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, Business, or related field;
  • A positive can-do attitude with a genuine willingness to learn new skills through challenging projects and commitment to your ongoing development;
  • Demonstrated organisational skills to manage your own workload and work autonomously
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
