We work on real cases, achieving important and positive results in real people’s lives, which is why we are one of Australia’s most respected law firms. Maurice Blackburn, experience you can count on.

About the role

Our National Class Actions practice is the largest in Australia and we are leaders in the field. That makes us proud. We have recovered more than $3 billion for groups, individuals, shareholders, and businesses that have suffered loss due to illegal behaviour by large corporations and governments.

An opportunity has arisen without our Class Actions practice for an Administrative Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in our Melbourne CBD office, you will be a driven and motivated individual who is eager to learn. You will provide administrative support to our legal team who work on large scale class action litigation. Our culture enables learning, adapting, and trying new things. We will teach you how to support the team by learning how to draft correspondence and so much more!

  • Produce external correspondence and prepare and file court documents and other complex documents
  • Arrange and manage diaries, appointments and meetings
  • Liaise with key stakeholders such as clients, counsel, opposing parties and the Court
  • Prepare bills for clients
  • Any other generalist administrative tasks as requested

You will have experience in document preparation and formatting skills and enjoy working in a busy and thriving team that makes a difference to ordinary people.

  • Comprehensive mental health framework, including wellbeing leave (up to 4 extra days per year) and $299 reimbursement
  • Discounted gym membership
  • A hybrid flex working model
