2022 Barista/Food & Beverage Attendant - TAFE Students Preferred null

Seeking 2 experienced, energetic and motivated individuals to join the Mark Moran Group team as Barista/Food & Beverage Attendants in our brand new 104-bed facility at Warrawee will be open in March 2022. You will be the face of our vibrant café that is open to our residents and the community and be instrumental in creating a positive café experience for our customers.

Location

Our Warrawee site is located an only moment away from the Warrawee train station and it is also close to the M1 Pacific Motorway. 

The Opportunity

We are looking for experienced and motivated Barista's/Food & Beverage Attendants to join our team. We have vacancies for full time and permanent part-time positions. The café will be open 7 days a week from 9 am-3 pm and you will be supported by our concierge 7 days a week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving food and beverages for consumption on the premises
• Taking customers' food and beverage orders
• Operating cash registers, accepting payments and preparing sales invoices
• Clearing away used dishes and cutlery from tables when customers are finished
• Cleaning and preparing tables for use
• Washing dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils
• Cleaning cafe equipment such as coffee grinders, espresso machines and ice makers
• Participating in stocktakes and assisting in putting away new stock
• Providing backup to other cafe employees
• Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service

What you will bring to the team:

• Previous experience working in a similar role, ideally Barista
• Current RSA Certificate or willing to undergo
• Previous experience using a Point-of-Sale System (POS)
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Constructive team spirit
• Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to work independently and as a team
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends  

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and passionate about great customer service with the ability to multitask, work efficiently under pressure and being able to adapt to an evolving workplace.
