Structural Draftsperson - TAFE Students Preferred null

About the role

There is a trainee position open for an enthusiastic student who would like to work part-time as a structural drafter whilst completing their drafting course. Those nearing the completion of their course are also welcome.

Skills & qualities

• Interested in the residential and commercial development industry.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team, and also by themselves on projects.
• A proactive attitude and interest in working within the construction industry.

Duties

• Prepare structural engineering plans and detail drawings for clients using AutoCAD (reinforced concrete, structural steelwork, & timber framing); training will be provided.
• Support senior drafters with drafting tasks on projects
• Work closely with engineers and architects on projects

• Interpret architectural and engineering design specifications for structural steel detailing
• Steel Detail Drafting – Stage 2 Unit
• Steel to Non-Steel Connections
• Structural Drawings – ACAD Stage 2 Unit
• Structural Drawings – Revit Stage 2 Unit

The successful applicant would move to a possible full-time employment position within the organisation, working alongside a dynamic and vibrant team.
