Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Providing exceptional front desk reception support, ensuring the smooth running of consulting sessions
Managing all aspects of reception including; arriving patients, answering telephone calls, booking patient appointments and managing email correspondence in a timely manner
Maintaining accurate patient records, uploading results and reports
Processing of patient accounts, invoicing, receipting and following up on aged debtors (including inpatient and surgery billing using Eclipse)
Preparing theatre quotes, booking theatre procedures and liaising daily with hospitals and Anaesthetists
General office administration including, faxing, scanning, opening and distributing practice mail
Liaising daily with patients, hospitals, health funds, Surgeons and Anaesthetists
Typing of medical correspondence
Providing PA support to the Surgeon and managing their calendar of events throughout the year
Selection criteria:
Previous experience working in a medical specialist practice is desirable;
Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail;
A 'hands on' enthusiastic approach;
Ability to work independently who thrives working in a challenging role;
Intermediate to advanced IT skills;
Knowledge of private billing, Medicare and DVA (desirable)
Flexibility in terms of rostering and working across multiple sites
Full vaccination including vaccination for COVID-19, or working towards full vaccination
