The Business
We are one of the largest owners, operators, and developers of retirement living communities in Australia, with a current portfolio of 75+ villages and over 17,000 residents calling their villages home.
Their residents are independent retirees who have sought the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals with services provided that give them and their families the reassurance that they will be cared for if the need arises.
The Role
Set on acres of beautifully maintained grounds, Dee Why Gardens is a contemporary retirement village that offers picturesque surroundings, quality facilities, and a vibrant and supportive village environment, based on the stunning northern beaches.
They have a genuinely rewarding opportunity to provide comfort and help for the residents when they need it most, for a Village Support Officer to join their team on a casual basis.
Duties will include
Responding to resident enquiries, overseeing their community facilities, conducting welfare checks on residents and referring them to their care consultant, assisting with their colourful village events, responding to call-outs, undertaking first aid, and initiating emergency services where required.
Shifts will be a mixture of daytime shifts and afternoon sleepover shifts.
Additional assistance will be required for leave coverage.
About You
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, dependable, and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
A professional and positive approach is required at all times to ensure that all residents’ needs are met.
A background in either hospitality or aged care would be advantageous, as well as having the following:
A current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
The ability to make critical decisions and remain calm under pressure.
Be motivated and able to take initiative

Please note:
The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October.
