What projects/initiatives does your employer run and what have you worked on personally?
There is not a major commitment to CSR. Not much importance is recycling or ecofriendly materials. or AI. There are some programs for employee wellness and fundraising.

K&L has a strong pro-bono commitment in which lawyers regularly participate in Pro-bono programs and or help those who are in need of legal assistance but cannot afford legal help.

We have a strong pro bono practice.
Seem to have good pro bono initiatives
The firm provides numerous opportunities for Pro Bono work.
Annual Global Service Day, high profile pro bono matters
We work on a lot of Probono matters and the firm has many initiatives on CSR
I try to avoid using paper if I don't need too. But I am quite disappointed with the amount of food we throw away after events :(
The firm is involved in pro bono work which I have been involved in. The difficulty is that billable work needs to be given priority.
1 day every year, the firm takes the day off to help a cause (e.g. Clean Up Australia Day).
My firm regularly participates in social concerns through engaging with charitable causes, positive work through our pro bono arm and having a strong stance on environmental issues through our environmental lawyers.

On Global Day of Service every employee spends the day at a charity, for example this past year the day was held at Ronald McDonald House. Pro-bono work is also encouraged and I have had the opportunity to work on pro-bono matters throughout my graduate year.

Our pro-bono practice is exemplary. I have personally worked on our cyber civil rights program (revenge porn), our human trafficking initiative as well as almost daily work on disability based charities and Aboriginal groups.

The firm has a strong pro-bono program (on the office, national and global levels), and consistently encourages staff to become involved with pro-bono matters and volunteering at local community legal centres. In addition, the firm has implemented a 'Global Day of Service', on which all staff work in a local charity for a day.
