This position forms part of our graduate recruitment strategy and the successful candidates will have the opportunity to be considered for a Graduate position at K&L Gates.

Supporting our Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Real Estate practice areas, you will experience what is like to work as a junior lawyer in our firm, get involved in interesting matters and work alongside well known industry experts.

You may be required to perform a variety of tasks including:

  • Research tasks
  • Preparing documentation and correspondence
  • Providing general support to lawyers in the various practice areas
  • Attending client meetings
  • Attending and observing in court
  • Business development and marketing-related tasks
  • Hard copy and electronic filing, printing, scanning, collation and photocopying of all documents relating to matters
  • Ensuring all files are up to date and readily accessible
  • General administration

About you

We are seeking highly driven final year law students who have the passion and desire to become practising lawyers.  You are hard-working and resilient in addition to having strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. Your sense of teamwork and support is essential for this role.

To be successful you will be highly organised, be able to work efficiently and use your initiative, as well as being proactive in your approach to tasks. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected as are excellent communication skills. Prior experience working in a law firm is advantageous, but not essential.
