Your role as an educator would include:
- Working with children aged 2 to 5 years
- Planning, organising and implementing activities that support the children at Kidopia to develop and grow their social, emotional, fine and gross motor skills.
- Working as a member of a cooperative team to implement a nurturing and educational program for all children at the preschool.
- Ensuing that the policies and philosophy of Kidopia, Children’s Services Regulations 2011 and the Code of Ethics are implemented in providing appropriate care and educational programs for the children.
- Be willing to participate in meetings, conferences and training courses where appropriate.
- Developing a collegial relationship with all members of staff to ensure a positive environment for all children at all times.
- Implementing health and hygiene practices.
Qualifications you will need:
- A Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- Working Knowledge of the Children’s Services Regulations 2011
- Working Knowledge of the National Quality Standard for Early Childhood Education
- Current Education and Care First Aid Training, Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of Childcare Policies and Procedures
- Be knowledgeable about the philosophical underpinning of the Early Years Learning Framework
- A current Working With Children Check and Child Protection Qualifications
You will also need:
- A commitment to your own ongoing professional development in early education
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A love of children and passion for Early Years Education
- Enthusiasm to be a team player
