Your role as an educator would include:

  • Working with children aged 2 to 5 years
  • Planning, organising and implementing activities that support the children at Kidopia to develop and grow their social, emotional, fine and gross motor skills.
  • Working as a member of a cooperative team to implement a nurturing and educational program for all children at the preschool.
  • Ensuing that the policies and philosophy of Kidopia, Children’s Services Regulations 2011 and the Code of Ethics are implemented in providing appropriate care and educational programs for the children.
  • Be willing to participate in meetings, conferences and training courses where appropriate.
  • Developing a collegial relationship with all members of staff to ensure a positive environment for all children at all times.
  • Implementing health and hygiene practices.

Qualifications you will need:

  • A Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
  • Working Knowledge of the Children’s Services Regulations 2011
  • Working Knowledge of the National Quality Standard for Early Childhood Education
  • Current Education and Care First Aid Training, Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of Childcare Policies and Procedures
  • Be knowledgeable about the philosophical underpinning of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • A current Working With Children Check and Child Protection Qualifications

You will also need:

  • A commitment to your own ongoing professional development in early education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A love of children and passion for Early Years Education
  • Enthusiasm to be a team player
