The Role
The Baytree by Ardency is a premium retirement Resort located in Greenwich that has paved the way for a unique retirement experience which combines the very best in independent living with the premium amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Handyperson to join our friendly team, on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be supporting the maintenance manager carry out general maintenance cleaning and repairs of fixtures, and fittings in accordance with the Village Maintenance Plan. No experience required!

As a Maintenance Handyperson, your duties will include;

  • Performing general and preventative maintenance tasks around the Village in an organised and proactive manner
  • Having a customer-focused approach to all tasks, whilst developing strong and positive relationships with residents and visitors
  • Implementing and adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring safety of all residents, visitors and contractors
  • Assisting with various Adhoc duties where required, as directed by the Village Manager

About You
The successful applicant will ideally have demonstrated competence as a maintenance assistant, trade assistant or have experience in a similar role (however previous experience is not essential), as well as:

  • Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Effective communication skills
  • The ability to take initiative and be pro-active
  • Computer literate e.g. intermediate/basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook, Apps
  • The ability to work individually and in a team
  • A current Australian driver's licence

Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April and October, with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles, pre-employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
